Nestor Senior Village
Because where you live matters

Welcome to Nestor Senior Village

Nestor Senior Village is a unique and innovative housing community providing 73 studio apartment homes for seniors, aged 55 or better, who had experienced or were at-risk of experiencing homelessness in San Diego County. Thirty-five apartment homes have been set aside for seniors who are in need of mental health services through the County of San Diego’s No Place Like Home program. This new community transforms underutilized land owned by the Nestor United Methodist Church into high-quality apartment homes and community space in the Nestor neighborhood of San Diego.

Residents of Nestor Senior Village enjoy long-term community-based housing with high-quality supportive services. The development includes 4,000 square-feet of community space, including a community room, private offices for case management, and United Methodist Church offices. Nestor Senior Village residents share use of on-site amenities with the church, such as outdoor recreation space and the South Bay Metro Good Neighbor Center, which provides food, clothing, annual Christmas baskets, and referrals for housing and other community help agencies to the community. Supportive services and case management is provided by the Hope through Housing Foundation, Father Joe’s Villages, CASA Familiar, San Diego PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly), and San Ysidro Health Services.
